I am very grateful to Jim Witherspoon at Crescent Graphics for his advice and encouragement - and his good work in printing and framing my work with tight deadlines - and his stoicism in the face of increasingly bizarre picture titles.
I was over talking to Jim at Crescent Graphics and my pictures caught the eye of one of his other visitors. It turned out that she was Tabitha van der Does, editor of the Sheringham Independent - and after having a nice chat with her, this appeared in her paper:
I wonder what's going to happen next? To find out, look in the next issue of The Sheringham Independent - a free local newspaper produced in magazine form that is independent of political or business bias. It does what a local paper should do - report on what is going on in the local community, and with humour (aided by an editorial team that includes three lazy hamsters).
I'd like to thank Nick at Kois R Us for his good advice and hard work - particularly with his spade. And his phlegmatic approach to the hunt for Snubby was definitely beyond the level of customer service that anyone should be expected to give.
The One Million Masterpiece is a great idea - to make an artwork combined from the work of one million artists and raise a heap of money for charity at the same time. I like the idea that individuals can keep changing their work right up to the time the final piece is printed - that there is the potential for people to connect with each other - and the feature that allows playback showing the creation of each artists work is a real eye-opener as to different individual's creative process and a joy to behold.
